This is a rather special review. Those who know me know that I always stay at a different hotel in Lippstadt. Still, I had the opportunity to visit this hotel and write a review about it.
Booking
What makes this visit unique is that I was invited to tour the hotel and take photos. I didn’t actually stay overnight here. Otherwise, I would book directly through Best Western. Worth noting: breakfast is always included in the rate.
Location
The hotel is just a few minutes from the market square, making it very centrally located. Parking in the hotel’s own garage costs €8 per night.
Check-In / Lobby
Room
I had the chance to visit two different room types. First, a family room.
Then a single room.
I’d describe both room types as functional — they simply remind me of Best Western hotels in the US. The beds looked comfortable, and I appreciate that there’s still a fan in the room.
Amenities
The breakfast room looks a little dated, but it’s perfectly functional.
There’s also a pub next door — unfortunately it was closed during my visit due to COVID restrictions. It looked very cozy though, and I’d love to grab a drink there sometime.
Verdict
An absolutely solid hotel. The staff’s service definitely makes the difference, and it’s very good here. A clear advantage is that breakfast is always included. Sure, you can tell here and there that the furnishings aren’t always up to the latest standards, but overall I find it very well done.
