For a short stay, I chose the Courtyard in Düsseldorf. As always, I booked directly through Marriott, so I earned points and nights toward my status. You can also check in via the Marriott App and submit specific requests there. The check-in itself worked fine, but I never received the items I had ordered. A shame, really — the concept is a great one.
Strangely, my reservation kept disappearing from the Marriott App, which also meant I couldn’t check out digitally.
Location
Coming from Düsseldorf Airport, it’s about a 15–20 minute drive to the hotel. It’s located in an office park area — there’s really not much else around.
Check-In
The majority of the room is taken up by the bed, which is actually quite comfortable. There’s also an armchair. On the other side you’ll find a desk, a TV, and an (empty) mini-fridge.
A safe and tea/coffee-making facilities were also available.
A small welcome gift and a bottle of water were waiting for me as well, which I appreciated.
Verdict
For a single night, the value for money checks out. The room is clean and functional. If the price is right, there’s no reason not to spend a night here.
