Hampton by Hilton, Krakow Airport (KRK)

The Hampton by Hilton Krakow Airport impresses with excellent rooms, inclusive breakfast, and solid value for money. The free shuttle and hassle-free arrival make it the ideal choice for a stopover at Krakow Airport. Service loses a few points, as Hilton perks like upgrades or snack vouchers were not offered proactively.

Booking & Location

This time I booked directly through the Hilton app, as the cashback site simply refused to work properly. The price was absolutely fine and around CHF 60 cheaper than the Hilton Garden Inn Krakow Airport. On top of that, a free shuttle is offered (granted, an Uber there costs only CHF 2… but still). So the decision to book a night here was made very quickly. The ride to the hotel takes about 8 minutes and departs from Bus Stop 3. You do need to call the hotel beforehand to reserve your seat on the shuttle. The bus stop is very well signposted inside the terminal, meaning you can be there within four minutes of leaving the aircraft — assuming you didn’t check any luggage.

Check-In

After the short shuttle ride, we were able to check in immediately, even late at night. As a Diamond Member, there was no upgrade on offer, and the voucher for a small snack (depending on your profile settings) was only provided after I specifically asked for it. A shame — elsewhere this tends to happen automatically. That said, I had my room key in hand shortly after. I had already pre-selected my room, so there were no surprises.

Room

Let’s be clear: we’re talking about a Hampton by Hilton here — but I genuinely thought the room was very good. The bathroom is on the left side and comes stocked with all the necessary toiletries in those eco-friendly dispensers (which, admittedly, I’m not the biggest fan of).

There’s also a mini-fridge, a safe, and a kettle for making coffee or tea. Two complimentary water bottles were provided as well.

The dominant feature of the room is the very comfortable bed. Next to it sits a couch and a HUGE TV!

Another thing I really appreciated: there were plenty of power outlets and charging options — next to the bed, by the TV, and elsewhere around the room.

Amenities

On level -1 there’s a gym that is open 24 hours and well equipped.

Breakfast is served from 6 to 10 a.m. — I’ll apologize upfront for the poor photo quality here. As is standard at Hampton properties, breakfast is included for all guests. I found the quality and variety genuinely impressive.

The overall lobby area reminded me somehow of a Moxy hotel, but without the garish colors. There were plenty of different seating areas that invited you to linger. Prices for food and drinks were completely fair. Outside there were also several seating options, which I personally appreciated very much.

Check-Out

Check-out was very smooth. I was asked for my email address a couple of times, but I received the correct invoice just minutes after checking out.

Verdict

I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the stay and everything the hotel has to offer. Prices are absolutely reasonable, and I would not hesitate to stay here again for a stopover.
