Booking
I booked the Hilton Garden Inn - Santiago Airport through the Hilton app. I opted for the cheapest room, a King Guest Room – since I was flying out again the following midday, an airport hotel made the most sense.
Location
From Santiago de Chile Airport, the hotel is reachable by car or hotel shuttle within 15 minutes. Unfortunately, the connections aren’t entirely seamless – signage at the airport could be improved. The shuttle only serves the domestic terminal.
Check-In
Since I arrived around midday, I was the only guest at check-in. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and even gave me tips on what to do in Santiago that afternoon.
Room
The first impression of the room is quite good. The entryway is well-lit by hotel standards. On the left is the bathroom with toilet and shower. I was pleasantly surprised by how bright the bathroom was. As expected, the essential toiletries (shower gel and shampoo) are provided.
In the generously sized room itself, there is an armchair in addition to the bed.
The TV with the relevant channels is easily visible from the bed. As usual, there is a safe, ironing board, coffee machine, and a small selection of snacks.
Restaurant
Breakfast is served as a well-stocked buffet – complimentary for Diamond members, otherwise available for a reasonable fee.
Amenities
The pool is generous and inviting. The fitness center offers the essentials for a solid workout.
Check-Out
Check-out was once again straightforward and friendly. A shuttle was arranged, and I was able to reach the airport again quickly.
Verdict
The stay was perfectly fine for the points spent. A typical airport hotel – if I had a later departure, I’d simply head into the city given the location.
