Hilton - Lima Miraflores (LIM)

The Hilton Lima Miraflores is a well-run city hotel with top-notch service, an excellent location, and an attention to detail that many five-star properties have long since lost. Particularly worth highlighting are the comfortable rooms, the Executive Lounge on the 11th floor, and the prime position in the safe Miraflores district, just minutes from the Pacific. Ideal for business trips and stopovers in Lima.

Location: In the Heart of Miraflores, Between Coast, Art and Ceviche

Lima is loud, chaotic and fascinating – but the moment you land in Miraflores, everything gets a little quieter and more relaxed, including your nerves around personal safety. That’s where the Hilton Lima Miraflores sits: a modern city hotel offering plenty of international comfort wrapped in Peruvian hospitality. I spent two nights here – enough time to test every corner, from the Junior King Suite to the rooftop pool area and the Executive Lounge.

The hotel is perfectly located: just a few minutes on foot to the Malecón, where joggers pass by along the Pacific coast and seagulls battle through the morning fog. Restaurants, cafés and galleries are right around the corner – if you want to eat your way through Lima, you’re in exactly the right place. The food in Peru is simply outstanding. The famous Larcomar shopping centre is also easily reachable. Barranco? Ten minutes by Uber, twenty in traffic (so: always twenty), or you can walk to Barranco – not after dark, but during the day the half-hour stroll along the clifftops is perfect. The Lima airport is anywhere between 30 minutes at 5am and over an hour during rush hour, and the route takes you through the Zona Roja before following the coast into Miraflores.

Check-In

Check-in went smoothly – it was before 6am and I had pre-announced my arrival to secure an early check-in, since the MIA-LIM segment operated by AA was on an A321 without lie-flat. I couldn’t have breakfast in the restaurant, but I was able to enjoy it in the lounge instead.

Room: Plenty of Space, Good Views and a Bed That Won’t Let You Go

I had a Junior King Suite corner room on the fourth floor – which in Lima typically means a mix of building facades, trees and a sliver of Pacific, if you’re lucky (or have good eyesight). The room was spacious, immaculately maintained and pleasantly understated in its design: no design overload, but modern and high-quality throughout.

Highlight: the bed. Hilton takes mattresses seriously – and after a trip with multiple flight segments, that’s exactly what you want. Rain shower bathroom, solid amenities (Crabtree & Evelyn) and a well-positioned desk with fast WiFi – fully digital-nomad-compatible.

Service: Professional, Warm, Unobtrusive

The service was exactly what you’d hope for from Hilton: friendly without being forced, efficient without being cold. A small upgrade at check-in thanks to Hilton Honors status. Housekeeping was invisibly efficient – the room was perfectly made up every day without ever catching a glimpse of anyone.

Executive Lounge: The Hidden Gem on the 11th Floor

If you have lounge access, you’re in for a treat: Mornings bring breakfast in a calm atmosphere – no buffet chaos, no jostling. Evenings offer small bites (including mini ceviches, empanadas, cheese boards) and a well-stocked self-service drinks selection with local wines, beer – and of course Pisco Sour. The view from the lounge stretches all the way to the ocean, provided the fog is taking a break, which does happen even in winter.

Rooftop & Pool: More Views Than Swimming

The rooftop pool looks larger in photos than it actually is – swimming is possible, but more meditative than athletic. What the rooftop area does deliver is views: perfect for a sundowner (even if the sun rarely makes an appearance in Lima). A few sun loungers, a small whirlpool, well-kept surroundings – a lovely spot to wind down after a day in the city.

Breakfast: For Early Risers and Foodies

If you don’t have lounge access or simply want more variety: breakfast in the restaurant is excellent. Local specialities (tamales, fresh juices, chicha morada), international classics (eggs, bacon, waffles) and good coffee. The service is attentive without being overbearing – exactly the right balance for easing into the day.

Verdict: A Solid City Hotel with Soul

The Hilton Lima Miraflores is not a boutique experience – nor does it try to be. It’s a well-run city hotel with top-notch service, an excellent location, and an attention to detail that many five-star properties have long since lost. Ideal for business trips, stopovers or longer stays in Lima when you appreciate style, calm and a touch of luxury. If you know Hilton, you’ll feel at home immediately. If you’re discovering Lima for the first time, this is an ideal base.
