Location / Booking
This is certainly a major advantage: you’re right next to Wien Mitte, which means you can take the CAT or the S-Bahn and then just cross the street to reach the hotel. Right next door there are also plenty of shopping options, and of course the option to continue by tram.
This time I booked directly through Hilton as well, to earn points and have the chance of an upgrade. Both worked out very well.
Check-In
It went very professionally — everything was explained to me quickly, and I was also pointed toward the Executive Lounge. An upgrade was thrown in on top, courtesy of my Hilton Diamond status.
Room
I received an upgrade to a Twin Executive room — unfortunately, a lot more could have been done with the space and layout. The current photos on the Hilton website do look somewhat better than what I experienced at the time.
On one side there was a very comfortable bed (I’ve always found Hilton beds particularly good), and on the other side a desk and TV. On top of that came a lovely welcome gift — with another gift arriving shortly after.
Next to the kettle there was tea and coffee, one of the welcome gifts, and a letter. Not everyone may pay attention to details like this, but I always find it a very personal touch. In addition to general information, the letter also included a current overview of my Hilton points balance.
The bathroom had both a shower and a bathtub. It felt fresh and very clean. As usual, the Peter Thomas Roth toiletries were provided — products I personally enjoy.
Lounge
Unfortunately I don’t have photos from here. One particular highlight is that there’s always a staff member present who acts almost like a concierge, offering tips and recommendations. Otherwise, you can enjoy a good breakfast here or unwind in the evening with a happy hour featuring snacks and alcoholic drinks. Soft drinks and coffee are available throughout the day.
Breakfast
I had breakfast in the Executive Lounge and found it genuinely impressive. Egg dishes could be ordered on request, and alongside those there was a very solid selection of other items — bread, eggs, various juices, cold cuts, and more.
Verdict
I can recommend the Hilton Vienna Park. The location is a real plus — you’re centrally situated and can easily get anywhere from there. The service was excellent too. If the price is right, why not stop by again? Have you stayed here before, and what were your experiences?
