Introduction
For a short weekend trip, I headed to Warsaw. I booked the Hilton directly through Hilton as always to take advantage of points credits and Diamond status benefits. The current promotion offered double points, which was quite attractive.
Location
The hotel is located at Grzybowska 63, 00-844 Warsaw, about 15-20 minutes by taxi or Uberfrom Chopin Airport (WAW). Costs range from 22-48 PLN depending on time of day – very affordable.
Check-In
I arrived shortly after 8 PM. Note: Executive Lounge snacks are only available until 8 PM (more on that later). Check-in was prepared, and they had upgraded me to a better room. However, to get a Corner Suite (which was available), I had to ask. The friendly staff member returned quickly with new keys.
Room (18th Floor Corner Suite)
Layout: Bathroom on the right from entrance. Bathroom: Bathtub + shower, standard Hilton toiletries. Missing: Glasses (forgotten?).
Room Highlights
- King bed – comfortable centerpiece
- Desk – good for work, but limited outlets (dated room)
- Wardrobe – ironing board, bathrobes, slippers, safe
- Mini-fridge (empty) + electric kettle (no proper coffee machine – disappointing)
- Welcome amenity: 2 water bottles
In addition to a bathtub, there was also a shower. Shampoo, etc. was also provided by the well-known Hilton brand. Unfortunately, there were no glasses or anything like that; they seemed to have been forgotten.
Most of the room was taken up by the bed, and there was also a desk and two chairs (which seemed a bit out of place).
The closet also had an ironing board, bathrobes, slippers, and a safe.
The desk was a good place to work, but unfortunately there was one small problem: power outlets. This is where you notice that the room is no longer up to date.
There was also a refrigerator (empty) and a kettle for tea and coffee above it. It’s a shame that there wasn’t a proper coffee machine in the room.
The only welcome gift were two bottles of water.
Executive Lounge (2 Floors)
The Executive Lounge can be accessed with your room card and spans two floors.
Here, you can also enjoy an evening meal and complimentary alcoholic beverages during happy hour. However, the refrigerators are locked promptly at 8 p.m. Nevertheless, a variety of beverages, including soft drinks, smoothies, water, coffee, etc., are available throughout the day.
You can also have breakfast here. Of course, the selection is not as extensive as in the restaurant, but I still think it’s quite good (especially if you don’t have much time).
The relaxation lounge is located on the second floor. It was never very busy there, and it was quite appealing and comfortable.
Wellness
Holmes Place Gym (same building): Free access for Hilton guests! Very large and comprehensive, though busy (limited photos). Large pool available.
It also has a pool, which is really big.
Breakfast
It was quite busy here, so I apologize for the few pictures. Although there are a lot of staff, it takes a very long time to get your order. I really liked the two stations where you can make fresh orange juice and vegetable juice.
Otherwise, the selection was really extensive and I enjoyed it.
Busy but extensive selection. Service slow despite ample staff. Highlights:
- Fresh orange/vegetable juice stations
- Wide variety of hot/cold dishes – delicious!
Check-Out
Smooth, but the bill needed correction which took some time.
