The look is understated-modern, clearly inspired by Peruvian culture, blended with a classic style that here isn’t just décor – it sets the mood.
Location & First Impressions
The location is no accident: right in the heart of the safe Miraflores district, steps from Kennedy Park, small galleries, and the ever-present bustle of kiosks – in short, this is where Lima pulses, and you’re right in the middle of it. Perfect if you want to get going straight away, but also want to get back safely and quickly in the evening.
Check-In & Service
Check-in is friendly, but as is often the case at city hotels: not the fastest start I’ve ever had. The late-night arrival – yes, thanks LATAM – was handled professionally, if a little by rote. But that’s fine – you sense the team knows what it’s doing, and the warmth comes with the next smile.
Room
The room is tidy and pleasantly spacious, with everything you need: a bright bathroom and toilet, floor-to-ceiling windows offering a nice view. The essential toiletries are all there. Beyond that, it does its job well – a good and above all comfortable bed with plenty of pillows. There’s a safe as well as a minibar, and enough power outlets to charge all your devices.
Breakfast & Dining
The breakfast buffet is solid, varied, and well-balanced – not spectacular, but just right for setting you up for the day. The local mix of continental and Peruvian specialties really makes you feel like you’re in Peru.
Pool & Leisure
A highlight in this high-rise setting: a rooftop pool with lounge and bar – a small urban paradise above the rooftops of Lima. Unfortunately it’s only open on warm days, and the pool isn’t heated during the European summer. After a stroll along the Malecón promenade, you can take a dip – literally – kick back, and let the day wind down in style.
Verdict
The Holiday Inn Lima Miraflores is a calm anchor in the hustle of Lima: clean rooms, reliable service, a decent breakfast, and the pool as a little elevated oasis – everything you need is here. Not pure luxury, but exactly what you want after spending the day walking from Huaca Pucllana along the Malecón all the way to Larcomar.
