Introduction
This time, the destination was Tallinn. Depending on the season, Swiss also offers direct flights there; for the return leg we flew back to Zurich via Munich. The hotel was booked through booking.com and has no loyalty programme of its own.
Location
The full address is: Lembitu 12, 10114 Tallinn, Estonia. The journey from Tallinn Airport to the hotel takes around 15–20 minutes depending on the time of day. Taxi and Uber fares are very reasonable.
Check-In
The check-in process was… calm and unhurried. Honestly, everything was fine, but the lady at the front desk was very relaxed and showed no particular desire to speed things up. Not a big deal — she was very friendly, and before long I had my room key in hand.
Room
The entryway has a luggage rack, with the bathroom just to the right. The minibar is present and well stocked — though the prices are, as always, a matter of debate.
The bed takes up most of the room, and there are plenty of power outlets distributed throughout. As a coffee lover, I was particularly pleased to find a coffee machine in the room.
There is also a small wardrobe (next to the safe) that hides an ironing board and a few other odds and ends.
Breakfast
Absolutely adequate, with a fairly broad selection. Egg dishes such as omelettes could be ordered and were brought out after a little wait. Unfortunately my photos didn’t turn out great, but they should still give a reasonable impression of the breakfast spread.
Amenities
There are two saunas and a small pool. I hadn’t looked into this beforehand, so I only managed one photo. There is also a gym, though it is really quite tiny.
The bar in the lobby area is genuinely lovely, and the service there is also very good.
Check-Out
Things moved fairly slowly here too, but the staff member was visibly making an effort.
Verdict
I was pleasantly surprised — the room was modern and the hotel has everything you need for a few days. They could really do without the gym given how tiny it is. The overall service, however, was perfectly good.
