Booking & Location
This Hyatt House was booked shortly before our stay and allowed my travel companion to achieve their target Hyatt status. It’s worth noting upfront that Hyatt Houses are generally designed for extended stays.
Check-In
After the obligatory check at the entrance gate, the front desk is just a few metres away. Check-in was genuinely relaxed and incredibly friendly. The team walked us through all the hotel’s facilities and were visibly pleased to welcome new guests. Within a very short time we had our room keys in hand and were on our way.
Room
The first impression of the room was definitely very positive. Yes, the carpet takes a little getting used to — I’ll admit that ;-)
The room stands out for its very pleasant size, a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable bed, and a desk that was perfectly adequate.
As you enter the room, there’s a well-equipped kitchen on the right-hand side, with a wardrobe containing a safe, ironing board and more right next to it.
The bathroom is entirely functional and was spotlessly clean. Single-use toiletry items have been skipped in favour of everything being provided in larger bottles.
There were plenty of power outlets, so charging all your devices at once is no problem.
Amenities
It was great to have not only a small balcony but also a pool. Worth mentioning as well: Hyatt House properties typically have a small kiosk stocked with all kinds of snacks. This one was located right across from reception, and the staff member running it was genuinely lovely.
Check-Out
I’d love to give a proper assessment, but it was more of a “Matress run” — however, the amount on the bill was correct and I’m confident the team was just as friendly at check-out as they were at check-in.
Verdict
Aside from the not-exactly-central location, this hotel has everything you could need. In my view, the staff simply make an enormous difference — and here once again you could see just how wonderful every single team member was. For a short stopover (and if I were collecting Hyatt points), I’d happily come back here without hesitation.
