Location & Access
After clearing security in Terminal 8, the Admirals Club is located in the satellite terminal, reached via the “tunnel.” Current hours are 04:30 – 22:00 (daily).
Access is available to members with Sapphire or Emerald status, or international Business Class passengers on oneworld alliance carriers, as well as lounge pass holders.
Facilities: The lounge is still outdated — no comparison to the DCA lounge. It has seating areas, work and charging stations, a small buffet with snacks, and a bar area where specialty drinks cost extra.
Food & Drinks
The snack/buffet area offers a limited selection of bagels, muffins, fruit, and yogurt in the morning; salads, hummus, vegetables, and desserts such as cookies and brownies throughout the day. The bar is staffed and includes complimentary house wine, beer, and standard cocktails, with premium drinks available for an additional charge.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the terminal and lounge, and the ample power outlets at many seats are a welcome plus.
Seating & Amenities
Various seating zones are available: comfortable armchairs, work corners, and seats with charging and USB ports. The lounge layout feels somewhat dated and lacks the modern feel of premium lounges elsewhere in the same airport. Those with access should consider visiting the Flagship Lounges instead.
Tips & Highlights
If you have a long layover or time to spare before your flight, the Admirals Club offers a noticeably quieter alternative to the gate area.
Conclusion
The Admirals Club at JFK is functional and comfortable, providing solid value for lounge access — but nothing spectacular. If you want a relaxed trip, don’t expect too much, and are simply looking for a more comfortable waiting area than the gate, this lounge is a solid choice. If you’re after lounge luxury or top-tier cuisine, the Flagship Lounges are worth seeking out.
