Location & Access: The lounge is located in Concourse D, Gate D30 — nestled between Cuban coffee, duty-free shops, and American-style disorientation.
Access is available to Oneworld Business and First Class guests on long-haul and select medium-haul AA flights, as well as Oneworld Sapphire and Emerald card holders.
Food & Drinks: The buffet is large, ambitious, but very… American. Scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese cubes in every conceivable form. The live kitchen, which conjures up a lovely omelette — now that’s how breakfast should be.
The real star? The self-service bar. Wine, beer, premium spirits — all available without the Admiral Club restrictions.
Seating & Facilities: Plenty of seating options, which is genuinely great. Power outlets everywhere, stable Wi-Fi, views out onto the tarmac dominated by an AA monoculture. Want a shower? Go for it — the showers are clean and functional. There are quiet zones, business nooks, and enough space even during rush hour.
Tips & Highlights
Arriving early pays off: the buffet is freshest in the morning.
The bar is self-service — mix your own Old Fashioned, nobody will judge you.
Pro tip: The armchairs along the window front at the back left are quieter, with the best view of the AA heavy metal fleet.
Verdict: The AA Flagship Lounge Miami is a solid refuge for the transatlantic business nomad. No glamour, no bling — but functional, generous, and with enough alcohol to survive any delay. It’s as American as a lounge can be: a little loud, a little rough around the edges — but somehow likeable. “If you can’t find happiness here, you simply haven’t earned the jetlag.”
