Hampton Dubai Airport - Dubai (DXB)

The Hampton Dubai Airport is a solid, affordable option for a short stopover. The stay is functional and wins mainly as a budget-friendly way to collect Hilton nights — but it doesn't inspire much excitement.

Booking

I was due to arrive in Dubai late in the evening and had no desire to head into the city, so I opted for an airport hotel. I made the booking — a non-refundable rate — through the Hilton app. Since it was only going to be one night, I chose the cheapest room: a King Guest Room.

Location

Despite the name Hampton Dubai Airport, the hotel is about 15 minutes away by Uber — close enough that you could almost justify going into the city. From the metro station it’s just under a 10-minute walk.

Check In

Unfortunately, mobile check-in via the app isn’t available at the Hampton, so I had to make a quick stop at the front desk. They did hand me a soft drink upon arrival. There was no upgrade on offer, even as a Diamond Member.

Room

The first impression is decent — though it’s worth keeping in mind that this is an airport hotel. On the right side of the entrance is the bathroom with toilet and shower. The lighting in the bathroom is good by hotel standards. The usual essentials (shower gel and shampoo) are provided, as expected.

In the room itself, there’s a comfortable chair and a work surface alongside the bed.

The TV, which gets the relevant channels, is easily visible from the bed. As usual, there’s a safe, an ironing board, and a coffee machine. The complimentary Hilton water bottles are also in the room. The minibar itself is empty, but you can use it to keep water cold.

Bar / Restaurant

Breakfast is available as a buffet and is decent, though it can get quite crowded depending on the time.

There’s also a bar, which serves drinks — but it had already closed by the evening.

Fitness Center

The gym is well-equipped and offers enough variety even for a more extensive workout.

Pool

The pool is on the 1st floor and overlooks the hotel — nothing spectacular, but still generously sized and pleasant. Opening hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Check Out

Check-out was smooth and friendly.

Conclusion

The stay was fine — certainly an affordable option for collecting stays or nights.
