Madrid Airport has several lounges in the secure area, accessible depending on your card, cabin class, or status.

Location & Access

The Velázquez Lounge in Terminal 4S is designed for passengers on all non-Schengen flights departing from the S gates. The lounge is elegantly located after passport control, within the duty-free area.

Access is granted to Business Class passengers, selected Oneworld status holders, and even Star Alliance Gold members are accepted here – though in the latter case you must be booked on an Avianca flight.

Amenities

The lounge is very bright and offers a wonderful view of the apron and, in part, the gates. The lounge is designed for over 500 passengers, which is clearly reflected in the generous seating capacity.

In addition to the obligatory facilities – which are kept very clean – there are several distinct zones for relaxing and dining. The showers are spacious and modern. Since Iberia does not offer a First Class product, there is no separate area for top-tier status passengers.

There is also a meeting room as well as a full-sized play area for children of all ages. Power outlets are generously available depending on the seat you choose.

The selection of soft drinks, hot beverages, and alcohol is generous. The food is of good quality, covering both delicious regional specialities and international options. The catering in the lounge is provided by Do&Co, who also supplies Iberia on its flights.

At these temperatures, an ice cream is of course a must.

The lounge features several screens displaying non-Schengen departures, making it very easy to keep track of your flight.

The furniture is kept in Iberia’s signature colours, giving the space a very modern yet elegant feel.
