Singapore Airport offers a wide variety of lounges — from credit card lounges to airline and alliance lounges. Since my onward flight to Kuala Lumpur was with Malaysian Airlines, the Qantas Lounge in Terminal 1 was the right choice for me.
Location and Access
The Qantas Lounge in Terminal 1 can be found one floor above the gate area, past immigration. Since Qantas operates multiple flights, the lounge has generous opening hours.
Access is granted to Business Class passengers as well as select Oneworld status holders on an eligible flight.
Amenities
The lounge is very bright and offers a wonderful view of the hustle and bustle at immigration and partly also the gates. The lounge is generously designed for passengers, which is clearly noticeable in the amount of space available.
Besides the obligatory restrooms, which are very clean, there are several separate areas for relaxation and dining. The showers are spacious and modern.
The selection of soft drinks, hot beverages, and alcohol is generous. The food is of good quality and covers both delicious regional specialties and international options.
Several screens throughout the lounge display departure information, keeping things clear and easy to manage without feeling hectic.
Verdict
The lounge is pleasant, and it’s definitely worth spending a shorter layover here.
