Hilton Warsaw City (Corner Suite)

Hilton Warsaw City (Corner Suite)

Introduction

For a quick weekend getaway, this time I headed to Warsaw. As always, I booked the Hilton directly through Hilton to take advantage of points earning and my Diamond status perks. Thanks to the current promotion, I was getting double points — which made the deal even sweeter.

Location

The hotel is located at Grzybowska 63, 00-844 Warszawa, roughly 15–20 minutes by taxi or Uber from Chopin Airport (WAW). The fare ranges from 22 PLN to 48 PLN depending on the time of day, which is very reasonable.

Check-in

I arrived at the hotel just after 8 pm. Why does that matter? Well, the Executive Lounge only serves snacks until 8 pm — more on that later. Everything was prepared for check-in, and they had a room upgrade ready for me, but it wasn’t a Corner Suite. Those were still available, so I had to ask specifically. No hard feelings though — the receptionist was very friendly and came back with the new room keys in no time.

Room

The room was on the 18th floor. The bathroom was to the right of the entrance.

It featured both a bathtub and a separate shower. Toiletries were the usual Hilton own-brand products. Unfortunately, there were no glasses in the room — seems like someone forgot to stock them.

Most of the room was taken up by the bed. There was also a desk and two chairs, which looked a bit out of place to be honest.

The wardrobe came with an ironing board, bathrobes, slippers, and a safe.

The desk was perfectly fine for getting some work done, but here’s the catch: power sockets. There simply aren’t enough of them, and it shows that the room hasn’t been refurbished in a while.

There was also an empty minibar fridge and a kettle for tea and coffee above it. A shame they don’t offer a proper coffee machine in the room.

The only welcome amenity was two bottles of water.

Lounge

The Executive Lounge is accessible with your room key and spans two floors.

In the evening you can grab some food here, and during happy hour there are complimentary alcoholic drinks. The fridges, however, are locked at 8 pm sharp. That said, soft drinks, smoothies, water, and coffee are available throughout the day.

You can also have breakfast here. The selection isn’t as extensive as in the restaurant, but I’d still say it’s perfectly decent — especially if you’re short on time.

The second floor houses the Relaxation Lounge. It was never busy and made for a comfortable, pleasant retreat.

Wellness

The Holmes Place gym is located in the same building as the Hilton. Hotel guests get free access. It was quite busy, so I couldn’t take many photos, but I have to say — it’s genuinely impressive in both size and range of equipment.

There’s also a swimming pool, and it’s a proper full-size one.

Breakfast

It was quite busy here, so apologies for the limited photos. There’s plenty of staff around, but if you order something, be prepared to wait — and wait some more. One thing I really appreciated were the two fresh juice stations where you could make your own orange juice and vegetable juice.

The overall spread was extensive and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Check-out

Straightforward and hassle-free, though the bill wasn’t quite right and had to be corrected first.

Conclusion

Apart from the initial back and forth over the upgrade, I really enjoyed my stay at this Hilton. If the price is right (this time it was considerably cheaper than the Westin), I’d happily come back. The fact that happy hour ends promptly on time isn’t something I’d hold against the hotel — that’s just how it works.

Our Verdict

A solid Hilton in Warsaw — the Corner Suite is well worth it, but make sure you ask at check-in or you'll end up in a standard room.
