Location
After security, keep to the right and follow the signs to the SilverKris Lounge. At the entrance, your First Class ticket grants you access to the First Class Lounge.
Unfortunately, there are no views or windows here. It’s essentially more of a room within the Business Class Lounge. I don’t mean that as a criticism — it’s simply worth being aware of.
As a side note, if you’re travelling on a Lufthansa First Class ticket, you also have the option to use the Plaza Premium First Hong Kong. It’s located opposite Gate 1 on Level 6 at departures. You’ll receive an access card at check-in.
Amenities
Since the lounge isn’t particularly large, the amenities are understandably modest. But the friendly service more than makes up for it, in my opinion.
Alongside a buffet, there’s also the option to order dishes from a menu, which are then brought to your table.
For this review, I tried the Singapore Sling as well as a Champagne and two dishes. Everything was flawless and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
A selection of beverages — both soft drinks and alcoholic options — is also available.
There are also magazines and newspapers, as well as comfortable seating areas and workspaces equipped with power outlets.
One particular highlight was that at the end of my visit, I was handed a feedback form. I had never experienced that before.
Verdict
All in all, it was a very pleasant visit to the lounge. Nothing extraordinarily special, but you could clearly tell that the staff were proud to work there and fulfilled every request with a smile. Would I come back? Absolutely.
