Tallinn Airport Lounge by LHV (TLL)

The renovated Tallinn Airport Lounge by LHV is a clear upgrade from its predecessor: more space, modern design with local wood, and an expanded food offering including hot dishes. It deliberately positions itself not as a premium lounge but as a comfortable place to linger and work — and it fulfills that claim well.

Introduction

Thanks to a very kind invitation from Tallinn Airport, I was able to visit this lounge very early. A big thank you for that! As always, my review reflects my own opinion.

For comparison with the old lounge, I’d like to point you to my first article from 2022.

Location and Access

The opening hours are daily from 04:30 to 22:00, which covers most flights at Tallinn Airport. You can also buy entry for a 3-hour stay here for 45 euros. Personally, I find the price quite high, especially since there are plenty of other ways to get into the lounge more cheaply.

Stairwell to the airport lounge

Coming from the duty free, you just need to walk straight ahead. After a few metres, you’ll find the staircase or the lift up to the lounge on the left-hand side. You can get access with the usual frequent flyer cards or through lounge passes like the PriorityPass.

Amenities

You immediately notice that a lot has been done here. The lounge has been enlarged and now shines in bright colours with plenty of locally produced wood. I particularly liked the lamps in the shape of birds.

If you walk to the left, there’s a small separate area. Here they’ve thought about the details like power sockets, which I really appreciate.

The toilets and the shower have also had a fundamental refresh. Both are now very bright and modern.

For the showers, you just need to let reception know briefly. Towels and so on are all available in sufficient quantities.

One bit of news is certainly that there’s now also hot food from lunchtime onwards. This complements the sandwiches and the salad bar. However, you shouldn’t expect too much. The same food is served every day. There’s also a selection of drinks you can help yourself to.

The lounge has also been expanded — where there used to be a hidden meeting room, there are now far more seating options as well as a small play area for children. There’s also the option to help yourself to drinks.

The meeting room has likewise been replaced with a new one. Opposite, there’s now even a spot where you can stretch. A nice idea that I like.

What also stands out is that there’s a lot of daylight in the lounge. The seating along the window front has also been kept in a new arrangement and upgraded.

If you want to make a phone call undisturbed, there’s still a small work booth, and there’s also an option to print something out.

Smokers have been considered too, and the terrace has been slightly upgraded with seating.

Verdict

For me, the renovated lounge is definitely an upgrade over the old one. They’re explicitly not positioning themselves as a premium lounge, but rather as a good place to linger and work before your flight. The food offering has been improved and the lounge is definitely worth a visit.
