New Lounge Review: The Club LIM (New Airport Lima)

The Club LIM impresses with its generous, stylish design featuring local Peruvian charm and a well-thought-out mix of relaxation, work, and family zones. The culinary offering is authentic and high-quality – from Ceviche to Pisco Sour. Only the lack of windows to the outside and live flight information detract from an otherwise nearly complete lounge experience.

Access and Location

The Club LIM at Lima’s new airport is accessible via an escalator after security and passport control. The access rules are somewhat confusing, as not all airlines have an agreement with the lounge. With Priority Pass or a Diners Card you can get in, alternatively you can also buy access for 28 dollars.

Design and Atmosphere

Upon entering the lounge, it’s immediately clear: this is no ordinary waiting area, but a thoughtfully designed retreat. Bright lounge areas with elegant dining booths, understated design, yet with clear nods to Peruvian culture — thanks to artworks by local artists, handcrafted textiles, and ceramic accents. There are various different corners where you can settle in comfortably. Over 450 seats are available, most with power outlets.

Work Facilities

There are several workstations equipped with power outlets and USB ports. The lounge works well for longer work sessions, though the workstations are relatively close together, which could limit the quiet factor.

Zones for Every Mood

Pleasant zones for business, relaxation, or families — including quietly situated rest areas with loungy recliners, workstations with power outlets, and a separately partitioned area for children.

WiFi

WiFi is free and reasonably fast, ideal for getting business tasks done or simply browsing the internet.

Cuisine à la Peru

Buffet stations beckon — warm and cold dishes in the morning, later freshly prepared à la carte menus featuring Peruvian classics like Causa limeña, Ceviche, Quinoa tamales, or Quinotto with Ají Amarillo — perfect for getting acquainted with Peruvian cuisine. The bar (Focal Bar) offers soft drinks, house wine, beer, and cocktails — including the venerable Pisco Sour. Inca Kola is also on tap, which I quite enjoyed.

Verdict

Step into The Club LIM and you immediately feel at home: spacious, stylish, with local charm — yet never overdone. The mix of rest, work, and family zones is well thought out, the cuisine authentic and high quality. The optional sleeping pod is a clever extra for long-haul travelers. The only things missing are a view outside or live flight information — otherwise, the lounge fulfills nearly every wish of the modern traveler.
