Location and Access
Located on the 2nd floor in Terminal D after security, this lounge gives you the impression that just about everyone can get in. That’s not a criticism, but both Business Class passengers and Priority Pass holders have access here. While Lufthansa, for example, states that you can only enter up to three hours before your flight, I doubt this is actually enforced given the size of the lounge.
Opening hours are Monday to Sunday from 05:00 to 02:30.
Essentially, the lounge is housed in one very large room. There are plenty of seating options, and you get views of both the apron and the airport interior. During my visit it was quite crowded at first, but it noticeably emptied out after a while.
Amenities
Nothing particularly noteworthy to mention. Besides restrooms, there’s an attempt at creating a child-friendly environment — a few colorful tables and chairs along with a padded play mat. The lounge does have ample seating throughout, and there are enough power outlets as well.
Food and Drinks
The food and drinks are self-service. During my stay, everything was constantly being replenished. The selection of both hot and cold dishes was remarkably good for a contract lounge. I’ve certainly eaten far worse elsewhere.
I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
Verdict
It’s a shame there are no showers — that was the first thing that came to mind. Apart from that, the lounge offers everything you need. The food selection is genuinely impressive for a contract lounge. All in all, I wouldn’t mind spending a bit more time here.
