Location & Access
The Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge is located in Terminal 1, Concourse B (1B) at Frankfurt Airport. It can be accessed via an underground walkway from Terminal A. Important to note: the lounge is located airside beyond passport control, making it a non-Schengen lounge.
Access is granted to Air Canada Business Class passengers, Star Alliance Business and First Class travelers, and Star Alliance Gold members (each with one guest). Lufthansa First Class guests typically use the First Class Terminalor the designated Lufthansa First Class Lounges. Interestingly, LATAM Business Class passengers can also access the lounge – similar to the Iberia Lounge setup in Madrid – if they are connecting to an Avianca flight.
Design & Atmosphere
The lounge interior follows a wood-accented design, with well-coordinated elements that create a cozy and calming ambiance – it even has a distinct Canadian touch. It’s also the only non-Lufthansa-operated lounge in Frankfurt, which gives it a unique character.

Food & Drinks
The food and beverage selection is solid, though somewhat minimalistic. The small bar offers beer, wine, and a few classic cocktails. At the buffet, you’ll find simple but fresh snacks like chips, nuts, cookies, yogurt, and fruit. There are also some hot dishes, although the variety is limited.
Overall, it’s well-suited for a light meal or snack before your flight.
Restrooms & Showers
Restrooms are kept clean, but the number of toilets and showers is limited. During peak hours, this can lead to short waiting times.
