Location & Access
The lounge scene at Tel Aviv Airport is not exactly extensive. That’s what led us to the only viable option available. We gained access with our Lufthansa Business Class ticket. Access is also possible with a Priority Pass or similar cards, though it’s worth noting that entry is only permitted up to two hours before departure.
Amenities
Well, I can keep this fairly brief — though I’ll do my best not to make it sound too negative. The space is divided up with a variety of seating options. On both sides there’s a coffee machine, and on the left side a small bar where wine is served.
There’s also a small buffet, though it didn’t look particularly appetizing. Soft drinks like Coke are available at the bar, and depending on how busy things are there, you can help yourself. The buffet consisted mainly of packaged items, some salad, and biscuits.
I don’t want to sound too negative — the lounge is definitely better than sitting on the benches outside. That said, don’t set your expectations too high. There are restrooms inside the lounge, which is a plus, though the upkeep leaves something to be desired.
Verdict
Since you never really know how long security checks at the airport will take, this lounge is perfectly usable as a place to wait. That said, I wouldn’t go out of my way to build extra time around it.
