Düsseldorf Airport doesn’t exactly offer a huge selection of lounges right now. You can access the Hugo Junkers Lounge with a Priority Pass, or book entry directly through the Düsseldorf Airport website (the price there is EUR 27.50).
Location
For anyone who still needs to go through customs (like me), just turn around and head up one floor in the B concourse — by elevator or stairs, of course. The lounge is located on the way to gates B51–B80.
Check-in was very friendly and efficient. My Priority Pass was scanned quickly and then I just had to fill out the COVID contact tracing form.
Amenities
The lounge essentially consists of a single large room (with a lovely view of the apron). That said, it’s very well divided up using different seating arrangements and tables.
On the left side there are also restrooms and showers (which unfortunately are not in operation at the moment).
Also on the left side, you’ll find access to the buffet. The selection is adequate for a short stay and at least offers some variety compared to eating at the Lufthansa Lounge.
Another notable feature is that everything here is self-service. Why do I mention it? Because that’s not the case in most other lounges.
Verdict
For a short stopover, the lounge is genuinely good. During my visit there were plenty of seats available, which I appreciated. Is it worth showing up at the airport earlier specifically for this? No. Is the lounge worth EUR 27.50? Probably not. Still, it’s a nice option to briefly unwind before your flight.
