The Senator Lounge Hamburg is functional and easy to find, but doesn't meet any special standards. The food and drink selection is at the usual Senator Lounge level — no surprises, but no disappointments either. Compared to other lounges, it feels somewhat dated, but is perfectly fine for a short stay.

This is about the Lufthansa / Star Alliance Gold Lounge at the lovely Hamburg Airport.

The lounge is fairly easy to reach — after security, keep left and simply follow the signs to the Lufthansa Lounge. Sounds simple, and it really is.

Access

To the right is the Senator Lounge (with a nice terrace in good weather), to the left the so-called Frequent Traveller Lounge with only a slightly different offering.

Food & Drinks

This is absolutely on par with the usual level of a Senator Lounge. No big surprises, but no disappointments either.

Verdict

Would I use the Lufthansa Lounge again? Absolutely. Is it getting a bit dated? Yes. It starts with the furniture and extends to the all-too-familiar selection of food and drinks. Personally, I still find it perfectly fine, but compared to other lounges, this one does have a harder time keeping up.
