The DoubleTree by Hilton in the Itaim district impresses with a solid location and decent room amenities, but suffers from aloof staff and visibly aging furnishings. If you're visiting São Paulo, there are certainly more attractive alternatives around the city.
The Hilton Barra impresses with a modern ambiance, spacious rooms, and an excellent breakfast buffet. The service is friendly and attentive, especially for Diamond Members. The location in the Barra district is modern and comparatively safe, but far from the main attractions.
The rooms show their age a little, but the sensational location right on Copacabana, the attentive service, and the friendly staff more than make up for it. The rooftop pool with bar rounds off the experience in style — a return visit is definitely planned.
The Presidential Suite at the Hilton Sao Paulo Morumbi is generous and impressive, but suffers from aging hardware and pandemic-related restrictions at the bar and kitchen. The experience is enjoyable, though it's hard to justify the price — beyond the sheer space alone — as expectations were only partially met.
The Grand Hyatt São Paulo was a very positive surprise: the service was friendly and attentive, the room for the booked category was thoughtfully furnished, and the amenities — including a stocked minibar and high-quality bathroom toiletries — were impeccable. A very fair price combined with a smooth digital checkout process rounded off an all-around successful stay.
