Location and Access
Terminal 1 at the C Gates (across from Gate 61), opening hours are from 05:00 to 22:00, in my opinion quite easy to find. You can get access with a Priority Pass or as a HON member with Lufthansa or Gold membership with Star Alliance or a Business Class ticket. Since many Eurowings flights also depart from Cologne, I looked up the following rules: BIZClass passengers, HON/SEN on the Smart fare.
Facilities
Honestly — yes, this is the old Lufthansa Lounge that has found a new owner. At the moment it’s actually as nice as it used to be again. The “old” Senator Lounge is open and you have to go upstairs for the corresponding facilities.
Once upstairs, it brings back the old memories. There’s a buffet and drinks that you can help yourself to.
Other Facilities
There is a restroom in the lounge, but no showers. The small work area is still there as well.
Verdict
I certainly wouldn’t come to Cologne Airport earlier just for the lounge. However, if you want to grab a bite and some peace and quiet before your flight, you’re definitely in good hands here.
