I honestly didn’t expect much. But I was pleasantly surprised. You’ll find out why in this review.
Location
When you walk towards the D / E Gates after the security checkpoint in Terminal 1, the lounge next to Starbucks is pretty hard to miss. To get to the lounge, just take the escalator up or use the elevator.
Access
With a Lufthansa or Swiss Business Class ticket or a Priority Pass, you’ll definitely get in. Alternatively, Star Alliance Gold status will also do the trick.
You can find the participating airlines here:
Layout
The lounge essentially consists of one large room, though it’s nicely divided up by different types of seating. Unfortunately, it wasn’t always possible to get good photos.
Food & Drinks
In addition to the bar, there are several options to not only make yourself a sandwich but also help yourself to salads and other small bites. The selection is more than sufficient in my opinion.
The bar is staffed, by the way, and you can get whatever you’d like there.
Conclusion
A perfectly decent lounge for a (short) stay. It’s also nice that there are showers in the lounge — so if you’ve been swimming in the sea beforehand, you can freshen up here. The food and seating are absolutely fine, and if you look around a bit, there are plenty of options for charging your various devices.
