The Star Alliance Gold Lounge in Amsterdam impresses with a solid food and drink selection, including beer on tap, and a pleasant, well-divided room concept. Unfortunately, showers and sleeping facilities are missing, and some lockers at the entrance don't work reliably. All in all, a good lounge for a longer stay before departure.
Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel and Conference (Pre-COVID)
The Sheraton Amsterdam Airport impresses above all with its unbeatable location right next to the terminal — reachable on foot in just a few minutes, covered and convenient. If you're willing to pay a slight premium and can take advantage of Marriott promotions, you'll be well taken care of here. The author would happily return.
Hilton Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS)
The Hilton Amsterdam Airport stands out primarily for its excellent lounge access for status members and attractive promotions. The location right at the airport is convenient, though you should budget around 10 minutes of walking from the terminal. It's worth comparing prices with the nearby Sheraton, but the Hilton has the edge when it comes to lounge access.
