Location and Access
You can enter with a Lufthansa / Swiss First Class ticket or HON status, and you may also bring one guest. However, the guest must be booked on the same flight.
The lounge is accessible from both the Schengen and Non-Schengen areas. It also has its own passport control, which is naturally very helpful.
The current opening hours are: Monday to Sunday from 05:00 - 22:00.
Amenities
After the boarding pass check on the first floor, they also verify whether your flight departs from a remote stand.
When you enter the lounge, the bar is on the left side with the restaurant behind it. The selection at the bar is very good, and if you have enough time, they’ll happily make or recommend a cocktail. Somehow I forgot to take a photo of the bar, but I’ll make up for that soon.
Right next to the bar is a buffet that is very good in terms of quality and offers, in my opinion, a solid selection.
The restaurant always features rotating specials, alongside Munich classics like Weisswurst and the like.
The typical Lufthansa seats are of course present as well. Given the size of the lounge, there are generally enough seats available, though I get the impression the furniture is placed a bit closer together.
There are also several workstations for making phone calls or getting work done undisturbed.
There is a separate smoking area as well.
The bathrooms and showers are always kept in excellent condition and are of course also located within the lounge.
If your flight departs from a remote stand, you’ll be driven to the aircraft. This can be especially useful when you only have a short layover. It’s also worth highlighting the fantastic service here — if you’re short on time, just let the staff know and they’ll do everything they can to still get you something fresh from the kitchen.
Verdict
A very beautiful lounge that I love visiting. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. For a friend’s birthday, they went the extra mile with something special — and that just goes to show how high the service level truly is.
