Location and Access
In Terminal 1, Concourse D, you’ll find this Lufthansa Lounge, which is also used by Swiss. You have to follow the signage (as so often), but roughly speaking it’s located above the Duty Free area.
At the entrance, your boarding pass is scanned and then you go either left (Business Class) or right (Senator, HON, First Class). Essentially, it’s just one large room divided up by different seating arrangements. Newspapers can also be found in the entrance area.
Amenities
As with most Lufthansa Lounges, there are drinks and food here that you can help yourself to. The food quality was good and the drink selection generous as well. Besides salads, there were also two tasty hot dishes.
The typical Lufthansa armchairs also have plenty of power outlets, so you can head to your flight with fully charged devices.
There are also three showers in the lounge — just let the front desk know, and they’ll notify you as soon as one is available.
Next to that, there’s a small work area, though without PCs.
Verdict
Typical Lufthansa style — you already know what you’re getting before you walk in. During peak times (when both Lufthansa and Swiss are departing) it can get quite crowded, but it provides a solid base for the night flight back to Europe.
