The Loft Lounge Brussels (BRU)

The Loft in Brussels is one of the most beautiful business lounges in the Lufthansa Group and clearly surpasses an average Lufthansa Lounge. The attention to detail — from the Lexus collaboration to the relaxation room with its starry ceiling and the separate HON area — makes the difference. A clear must-visit for all Star Alliance travellers departing from Brussels.

4.3 / 5

Brussels Airport has a few lounges that can be used depending on card, cabin, or status.

Location and Access

After security, you have to walk a few more metres. Right at the start of Pier A, The Loft by Brussels Airlines is located opposite Gate A 42.

The opening hours are currently daily from 05:00 to 21:00. The lounge is accessible to Star Gold, Frequent Traveller, and Business Class passengers of Star Alliance. HON members of course also have access. Since this is officially a partner lounge, it cannot be used by arriving passengers. Nevertheless, we were kindly granted access here – but officially this is not possible.

Amenities

The lounge has an L-shape, with one section standing out thanks to its view of the apron. There is also a Neuhaus shop inside the lounge.

All alcoholic drinks and soft drinks can be chosen yourself.

Coffee bar with beverage fridge and serving utensils

Most of the food is pre-packaged and can be eaten at your seat. These pictures were taken during Corona.

By now the food selection is back to its normal level.

Inside the lounge there is a kind of living room with a large screen.

Since Toyota’s European headquarters is in Brussels, Lexus has taken up residence in the lounge. Some style elements as well as a certain product placement make this lounge special. The luxury brand Lexus brings its branding to visitors elegantly and discreetly.

Besides the usual toilets, showers can be used. The relaxation area, a quiet room with a starry ceiling, is available on request. Massage chairs are also available and can be used as well.

There is also an additional kids’ area, where you’ll also find a few “phone booths”. In my opinion, this is very well done!

For HON members there is a separate area which includes some food and drinks, as well as its own toilets and very nice seating. The selection of food (in the fridge) is rather limited, but still a nice touch. The staff at reception also drop by from time to time to check that everything is in order.

Verdict

In my opinion, it is one of the nicest Business Lounges in the Lufthansa Group, and one I’m happy to come back to. The lounge is clearly better than an average Lufthansa Lounge – the attention to detail simply makes a huge difference here.
