In Dock A you’ll find the Swiss Alpine Lounge. It’s located where the Swiss First Class Lounge used to be. After a few steps up, you reach the lounge and can then check yourself in there with your boarding pass.
Next door is now the Swiss First Class Lounge — you just need to ring the bell briefly and can use that entrance as well. You can find the review for that one here, by the way: https://lastmanboarding.ch/2022/07/21/review-swiss-first-class-lounge-zurich-zrh-terminal-a/
Access:
Access is only possible for Senators or Star Alliance Gold members; everyone else is politely directed to the other Swiss Lounge in Area A.
So what’s actually on offer here? First of all, a really well-done ambience! On the left side there are several tables and cozy seating areas. The toilets are also located here (without showers).
If you go to the right side, work areas, phone booths and several tables await you, with plenty of power outlets thought of everywhere.
Food / Drinks
There’s always a daily menu here that’s freshly prepared in the pizza oven. Next to it, there’s also a salad bar (depending on the time of day, also a bar with a breakfast offering).
There’s also quite an ample drinks selection — one particularity is certainly that the wine comes from a kind of “vending machine”. This isn’t a big issue though, as it’s more about the dosage, and the quality of the drinks on offer is definitely good. Here too, a special focus is placed on Swiss products, which I find very positive.
There’s also the option (depending on the time of day) to help yourself to salads and other small items in the lounge.
Verdict
I always enjoy coming back here, and in contrast to the “main lounge” in Terminal A, it’s usually much quieter. The staff are also always very friendly and attentive.
