The DoubleTree by Hilton in Nice impresses with its excellent location right next to the main train station, modern rooms, and consistently friendly service. The compact bathroom is a minor drawback, but overall the hotel is a recommendable choice for visitors to Nice.
The Hilton CDG wins points for its convenient location near Terminal 3 and public transport links, but disappoints with an outdated room and a detached check-in experience. A goodwill gesture at check-out doesn't fully make up for the hotel's shortcomings — next time, the Sheraton CDG would be the better choice.
The Shelair Lounge in Terminal 2D at CDG is sufficient for a short stopover, but by no means impressive. The buffet is limited, cleanliness leaves much to be desired, and many seats were occupied by trash. Better than nothing – if you have a Priority Pass or a Swiss Business Class ticket, you can pop in briefly.
The Air France Concorde amenity kit was far ahead of its time — amenity kits were anything but standard back then. The contents featuring products by Lacoste and Revillon, along with the high-quality leather pouches, speak to a premium experience worthy of supersonic travel.
The Lufthansa Lounge at CDG is located on the lower level, giving it a somewhat bunker-like feel – natural light is completely absent. Still, it offers everything you need: a solid breakfast buffet, plenty of power outlets, a work area, and friendly staff.
The Sheraton Paris Airport Hotel & Conference Centre scores above all with its unbeatable location directly inside Terminal 2 at CDG and the impressive views over the apron. Service is solid, though check-in felt a little cool, and the rooms show occasional signs of wear despite a renovated bathroom. If you're looking for a comfortable airport stopover with Marriott status benefits, this is a worthwhile choice — even at a premium.
The Courtyard Paris CDG is a solid, no-frills airport hotel for an overnight stay between flights. The shuttle service is free but unreliable and can cause unnecessary stress in the morning. If you find a significant price difference, you won't go wrong here — just don't expect luxury.
The Lufthansa Senator Lounge at CDG is a solid, if unremarkable, stopover for frequent flyers. The classic buffet and familiar Lufthansa décor deliver exactly what you'd expect — nothing more, nothing less. Its greatest asset is the proximity to the gates.
