Ethiopian Airlines offers a solid Business Class on the A350 with lie-flat seats in a 2-2-2 layout, good entertainment, and regular drink service. The cabin, however, shows signs of wear quickly. As a Miles & More redemption, the DXB-ADD-ZRH routing is an attractive value proposition thanks to low taxes and a long lie-flat rest period.
The Lufthansa Business Lounge MUC K11 offers all the essentials: workstations, food, drinks, and even showers. Compared to the Senator Lounge, it's noticeably more crowded and the selection is somewhat smaller – but it's more than sufficient for a lounge visit.
The Lufthansa First Class Lounge Munich Satellite impresses with unobstructed tarmac views, a flexible around-the-clock dining offering, and particularly attentive staff. The service clearly stands out from other locations, turning the visit into a genuine experience. A strong recommendation for any traveler with access.
The lounge at Münster Osnabrück Airport is a quiet and pleasant place to wait before departure. The drink selection is remarkably good and rivals Lufthansa Business Lounges, while the breakfast offering is adequate for the lounge's size. For a small regional airport, having a lounge like this is a very positive feature.
The Lufthansa HON Lounge at BER is a small, windowless waiting area for top-tier customers that unfortunately fails to live up to its own standards. The lack of natural light, a minimal offering, and slow service significantly dampen the experience. Those seeking more comfort are considerably better off in the adjacent Business/Senator Lounge.
The newly renovated Swiss Business and Senator Lounge in Terminal D impresses with a warm, inviting atmosphere, diverse seating areas, and a fresh food and beverage offering. The only downside: showers are still located in the hallway outside the lounge. Overall, a successful result that can hold its own.
The Swiss Arrival Lounge in Zurich is a quiet hidden gem for arriving long-haul and short-haul passengers with lounge access. Particularly noteworthy is the shirt pressing service as well as the 20 showers named after Swiss destinations across 770 square meters. The breakfast-focused food offering is fitting and sufficient for the arrivals area.
The Lufthansa Senator Lounge at London Heathrow impresses primarily with its above-average catering offering, making it one of the better lounges in the Lufthansa network. The work area and power outlet availability are practical, though it can get crowded during peak times with a shortage of seating.
Small but mighty – the HON Circle Lounge in Vienna impresses with a calm atmosphere, a good buffet, and attentive service, even if the overall offering remains modest. The lack of power outlets is a minor drawback, but overall it's a pleasant oasis before departure.
The Airport Club Lounge in Olbia impresses with its modern design, a surprisingly wide selection of food and drinks, and local specialties. It's very clean and offers a nice view of the apron. A clear hidden gem that significantly exceeds expectations.
The Lufthansa Business Class on the Zurich–Frankfurt–Dubai route disappointed with a listless crew, absent Senator recognition, and minor catering shortfalls. The value of the 199 CHF upgrade was acceptable, but overall the experience fell short of expectations. All things considered, it was still great to be back in the air.
The Business Lounge Paderborn-Lippstadt is a very basic facility with a minimal offering: a coffee machine, beer, water, and juice — that's about as much as you can expect. As a nice gesture at a small regional airport it serves its purpose, but it shouldn't be compared to larger lounges.
Despite the older A330 product, the flight in Swiss Business Class was a real treat – an exceptionally attentive and motivated crew ensured a relaxed travel experience. The food, featuring beef entrecôte tataki, braised beef brisket, and yuzu lemon meringue, impressed across the board. Only the small entertainment display and the limited film selection slightly dampened the otherwise very positive impression.
The Lufthansa Senator Lounge at CDG is a solid, if unremarkable, stopover for frequent flyers. The classic buffet and familiar Lufthansa décor deliver exactly what you'd expect — nothing more, nothing less. Its greatest asset is the proximity to the gates.
